Natural stone is a widely used material both in construction and in furnishings. It is chosen to cover vertical surfaces, create floors, but also furnishing accessories and ornaments. There are numerous types of natural stone, with different shapes, colors and characteristics. However, all variants share excellent resistance to stress and bad weather. Precisely for this reason the material is often selected for external flooring, terraces, stairs and balconies. Robustness and solidity, however, must not be misleading: the maintenance, in this case, is essential to keep performance intact.

Maintenance and cleaning of natural stone

Natural stone is not only durable, but also very beautiful to look at. However, few people know that it has a porosity that makes it sensitive to dirt. Furthermore, since it is chosen for outdoor environments, it is exposed to pollutants, the action of sunlight and rain. This causes water infiltration and blackening with the presence of dust, smog and mold. These substances can penetrate deeply into the material, ruining it irremediably. The secret to making a natural stone floor look like new? Clean it regularly using i right products, which are effective, but not aggressive. To avoid damaging this material, it is advisable to carry out a specific treatment that allows cleaning and rehydration.

To remove the mold definitively, for example, you can choose FX-1 of New Chemical Prevention. Applied to the surface, the product penetrates deeply, eliminating the problem at its root. It is recommended for natural stone and various contaminated absorbent building surfaces such as cooked, wood, concrete, marble, stoneware. It can be used together with FX-25, a solution of alkyldimethylbenzyl-ammoniumchloride derivatives against the green (moss/algae) that often forms on floors due to water stagnation.

This is a product designed for background protection of natural or artificial stone materials. Its slow evaporation allows for deep impregnation and excellent surface defense. Furthermore, it does not alter the original color and does not cause the formation of surface films. Donate one strong water repellency e stain protection which lasts over time, for this reason it is ideal on surfaces, both internal and external, in natural stone, but also polished or honed marble, granite and porcelain stoneware. Finally, Oil & Clean is a formula based on natural surfactants and oils of vegetable origin. It has the addition of an additive that has the ability to dissipate the charge, which is why it is ideal for making the surface antistatic. Designed to clean wood, it is also suitable for rustic terracotta and stone surfaces.
